I'm Bethany. I'm 20, a student and I live in Tennessee, in the United States of America.
I'm pretty much a fulltime fangirl. I try to be a good student, but I love fandom and I consider it an important part of my life. I use my journal for both persoal things and fandom things, and I love new friends.
I ship weird things. Shipping is a fulltime hobby. However, I don't tend to like romance-only stories. I also like ships with bizarre if not entirely unfortunate aspects or implications, because I like dealing with strange or difficult psychology and philosophy and making it work.
Shipping, living, feeling, existing, whatever--my policy is love first, analyse second, judge rarely, hate never.
I'm anything but a pure materialist. I see magic in the world, everywhere, and even if I'm wrong, I'd have it no other way.
I'd rather be happy than right any day.
If I'd a choice between a foot on the ground and a head in the clouds, I'd always choose the sky. As it is, I think I've got both, though.
I'm attending university and majoring in Philosophy and English. I've gone through a lot of things I've "wanted" to do but keep coming back to these two. I'd either like to work with people or words someday--preferably both. I also like to study film and religion and language in general as time permits.
I'm a Christian, and my faith is very important to me. I'm very open-minded and loving--Christ taught me to love Him, myself, and others. I don't judge, I only love. I'm very passionate about human rights in general, and particlarly, LGBT rights. My own sexual orientation is a bit more wibbly, and I usually say bisexual, but other times I think I'm asexual and only attracted to secondary aspects of sexuality. Really, I'm all over the place, so my answer is I am what I am what I am.
I'm a dog person. I'm completely in love with the BBC and the notion of Britain in general. I'm politically liberal about most things but don't align myself with any particular party. |

I'm typically not into RPF. This isn't because of a prejudice against it, particularly. I just prefer in-character stuff. I'm noting this because I've noticed how prevelant it is in the Narnia fandom, and I just wanted to say that I love you all dearly and the fact that I don't write RPF really is just an arbitrary preference thing. I just feel more personally comfortable with IC-stuff.
As I mentiond, I currently keep my fandom stuff (fic, icons, firefox personas, etc) on someinspired. While I write this I'm considering getting another account with a different name for it or possibly moving a lot of it to a tumblr account, but I'm undecided at this point. If you're interested in my stuff, it always makes me happy to have new people friend that account, but no pressure at all!
I really, really hate character bashing. Even if I don't like a character I want to give them the benefit of the doubt unless I do it in some artful, poignant way. I like my journal to be a bash-free zone, though you're perfectly free to express negative opinions as long as it is done in a mature way.
As I mentioned in my more personal About Me section, I do have some "weird" ships, particularly for Narnia. I really don't want to get into any kind of argument with anyone about this, but if you'd like to discuss it, I do ask that you take the time to ask before you condemn, whine, complain, etc.
